Historic Structures Reports
Michigan
Completed 2018-2025*
A Historic Structures Report (HSR) is a detailed document that provides narrative, graphic, and physical information about a building’s history and condition. Typically, these reports provide an analysis of the building’s history, physical condition, and itemized lists of repair recommendations. Our team has worked on historic structures reports projects across Michigan including on projects that vary from a single-family home to a large church complex. When needed, our team regularly works with structural engineers, architects, and civil engineers to provide additional detail to HSR projects.
Cassandra and Katie recently completed an HSR for a church in mid-Michigan that was built in the 1880s. This church requires renovations to make it fully accessible for the aging congregation. The HSR that Cassandra and Katie produced will be used by historic architects as they begin to plan renovations at the church. Cassandra also recently completed an HSR for a highly historic civil rights site in Detroit. This HSR was required as the building had significant deferred maintenance issues.
